We surveyed over 200 Senior ICT decision makers in end user organizations, from a range of sectors, about their wide area networking pain points, objectives and future strategies. The results, which are fully documented in this report, were quite startling. For example, 66% are still running their WAN over the public internet, which many people view as inherently insecure. Almost two-thirds of respondents cited bandwidth restrictions as the primary pain point of their existing WAN, but 58% admit they lack a deep enough understanding of the challenges involved in migrating to Layer 2 VPN technology.
